As there is no European test for Needle protection, Industry relies on the American standard ASTM F2878.
ASTM F2878: 10 newtons of puncture protection (hypodermic needle). This is ASTM ANSI Puncture Resistance Level 5 which offer VERY HIGH protection against punctures.
The 2 layers of Tiatn are a unique spun and woven blend of Aramid fibres which are lightweight and flexible, and a 3rd Layer of Steel Mesh offering protection from needles and sharp objects,
protection is on the palm and the ends of the fingertips making these needle stick gloves ideal at a competitive price for handling Hypodermic needles, Razor / Barbed Wire,Brambles & Thorns, Splinters, waste handling, clinical waste, glass and sheet metal work.
