Heat Handling
Heat Resistant Gloves and Gauntlets tested to EN407 for Flammability, Contact Heat to 100, 250, 350 and 500 degrees celsius, we have gloves rated for Extreme Heat to 800 and 1000 degrees. Convective heat, Radiant heat, and small and large splashes of molten metal. Tested protection from burns and scalds to ensure you protect your hands from heat injury. There are many different jobs and work places which require protection against severe heat. From working with small or large engine exhausts which can create severe burns or scalds from hot metals through to electrical work with potential ignition and currents there is a responsibility from a personal perspective and of course the organization we work with, to ensure health and safety and the correct PPE is worn at all times. Handling any potentially hot surface or material without protective hand and arm gear could create significant injury and the inability to work on occasion. It is of course possible to receive burns from flame, hot materials and metals and also extreme cold, which is why as part of European and British standards, tests such as the burning behavior glove test is carried out. This is where the work glove is suspended over a burner within clinical testing conditions within a controlled chamber.
