Nitrile

At Gloves n Stuff we stock a wide varied range of Nitrile gloves. Nitrile is a synthetic latex compound made from a blend of Butadiene and Acrylonitrile also called NDR - Nitrile Butadiene Rubber. Unlike Latex Rubber it contains no latex proteins so it has no risk of allergic reactions. Nitrile coatings offer better resistance to oils, fuel and some chemicals, because of this it is used in place of rubber in other applications such as hoses, seals and washers as well as work gloves. The use of Nitrile in gloves has developed over the years offering products that are as supple and pliable as rubber latex whilst offering greater wear and puncture resistance. Nitrile coated gloves score well in the EN388 Mechanical Handling test for Abrasion with most gloves scoring 3 or 4 out of 4 A high score for the abrasion test means these gloves are tough and long-lasting, a popular glove for scaffolders, builders and engineers. The Nitrile coating for the gloves is also available as a 'foam' nitrile, this type of coating has a spongy feel and is better with oils as the surface wicks the oil away.
