PYROMICA 1000°C Heat Protection 40 cm Safety Mittens
Pair of mittens made of Pyromica® glass fabric
- Recommended for handling hot objects up to 1000°C over brief periods.
- Internal insulation provided by a 5 mm refractory fabric
- Two aluminised screens
- Fire-resistant woollen fabric
- Proban® fire-resistant cotton lining
Brief contact with parts up to 1000°C (e.g. handling of hot refractory bricks).
The duration of insulation depends on the temperature of the object.
If excess heat enters the muffle, a sudden movement of the arm will shake the mitten from the hand.
The mitten is ambidextrous/reversible to allow the use of both sides:
by changing hand, the top becomes the palm (and vice-versa); thus, lifetime of the mittens is doubled.
