Protective arm sleeves fill the critical gap between gloves and full jackets, shielding forearms from cuts, heat, flames, and chemical exposure without sacrificing mobility. Available in cut-resistant, heat-resistant, welding, and chemical-resistant options, these sleeves protect one of the body's most vulnerable areas during reaching, lifting, and handling tasks.

What you're protecting against determines which sleeve you need. Cut hazards demand Kevlar or HPPE materials rated to EN 388 or ANSI/ISEA standards. Heat work—foundry, welding, bakery—requires aluminised fabrics, Nomex, or leather rated for 200°C to 500°C+. Welding specifically needs flame-resistant leather or FR-treated fabrics meeting EN ISO 11611. Chemical exposure calls for nitrile-coated, PVC, or specialist polymer barriers.

Fit matters as much as material. Sleeves should sit snugly without sliding, never so tight they restrict circulation. Most sleeves coordinate with safety gloves—position cuffs to prevent contaminants running down into gloves. Inspect before each shift for tears, wear, or contamination; damage mandates replacement. High-wear environments may need monthly replacement; occasional use extends life to six months or longer.
