Hi Vis Thermal Jackets & Clothing

(47 products)

Hi vis thermal jackets trap body heat through synthetic insulation like 3M Thinsulate or quilted wadding, keeping you visible and warm from -5°C to -40°C across highways, utilities, and building sites. Standard fleece loses effectiveness below freezing. Uninsulated hi vis jackets offer visibility but zero thermal protection when wind chill intensifies. This collection includes EN342:2017 certified options that combine high visibility with serious cold weather insulation.

What Makes Thermal Insulation Different

Synthetic fill fibres—typically 80-200gsm of 3M Thinsulate or quilted polyester wadding—create millions of tiny air pockets that trap warm air close to your body whilst blocking external cold. Higher gsm ratings suit colder temperatures: 80gsm for mild cold (0°C to -10°C), 150gsm for general winter work (-10°C to -25°C), and 200gsm+ for extreme exposure down to -40°C. Thermal insulation works even when compressed under tool belts, unlike fleece which loses warming ability when flattened.
