Kevlar work gloves are 5 times stronger by weight than steel and are made of Aramid fibre. Many people do not understand the makeup of the Kevlar glove materials and the questions regarding how the material is so strong continues. The fibres within the glove are aligned in straight lines which help the strength massively and uniquely, unlike other materials like cotton, for example, Kevlar gloves are made from synthetic material where the molecules have a strong ring-like structure. It has the effect that the Kevlar glove is as strong as steel, but lightweight and protects from cuts, abrasions and heat.
